So over the past month I have been having a discussion with some friends and colleagues about my new motto when it comes to life, which if you missed it was:
“If you get caught up looking into the past, the future becomes the present, and then it’s history”
Many people I spoke with believed that you should look into the past to see what you have accomplished, which I agree with… to an extent. The problem with that is, if you continue to hone in on your accomplishments from the past you aren’t focusing on creating bigger and better accomplishments. Now don’t get me wrong, I love telling people about the work I have done in the entertainment business, but I don’t let my past accomplishments define who I am as an actor or as a person.
I look forward to what my next step is, because when I look to the future I don’t see the finish line, because to be honest I don’t think there is a finish line. I want to continue to grow and expand who I am as a person and as an artist for as long as I have the ability to breathe. That is why I take my past accomplishments with me into the future and let them be just a small part of who I am, because:
“Life is a journey to find your pieces, the pieces that create the puzzle, the puzzle that not even you know the answer to… yet.”
